I really enjoy working with our Bartlett arborist, Patrick Herschman. He is friendly, dependable, and very helpful in keeping our trees happy and healthy. The white oaks in our area have been struggling for many years and it is always a difficult decision to take a tree down. However, Patrick has always been the right person to discuss and decide on the right time. And the staff who take care of the applications are always friendly and courteous - they do a great job. I really couldn't ask for a better situation. I often recommend Patrick to our neighbors if they are trying to access and help their trees.

It was a smooth and informative first meeting, with lots of helpful details (we love details!). Kurt was patient and thoughtful, and a joy to work with! He even sent us a "during" photo for our scrapbook!

Great experience; highly recommend. The entire staff was friendly, positive, knowledgeable and responsive. Tom, my arborist, was very good at explaining the diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis for the trees on my property. He really took the time to explain what was wrong. He also reassured me about the safety of their treatment products for kids and animals and the effects on the environment. Would definitely encourage others to use this company!

I have been a happy customer since 2013. Tom Teets is always responsive to my requests and cares for my 26- year old pear tree as if it were his own. I appreciate his advice and guidance in maintaining its health and beauty as the focal point of my front yard. He and his crew are thorough, meticulous, and courteous. Arrived promptly. Very professional and courteous. Meticulous job hand trimming dense pear tree to open up light and air and scale down size. Called me out for approval of final results. Thoroughly cleaned up yard even to smallest twigs. Happy customer for years and will continue to rely upon their quality service.

After my husband died, I hired Bartlett Tree Experts. I don' t know a thing about trees - and while Jonathan ALSO knew nothing about trees, it's far more fun to mutter just barely within audible range about how HE should have dealt with this first when the tree blows down on the porch. (Which it once did while I was in NYC, and he handled it - thus putting All Tree Issues permanently and eternally in his scope. His death rudely put All Tree Issues back in MY realm, and what do I know about trees??!) So yesterday, I left to go pick up dinner on a VERY windy day and saw that a tree had blown over onto my fence. The downed tree was not breaking the fence and wasn't involved in any power lines; this was a nuisance, not a disaster. I sent an email to Patrick, the Bartlett guy, while sitting at traffic lights. (Patrick is DARLING. You can tell by his bearing that he's a vet - and he clearly liked the short haircut because he's buzzed all over his handsome head. But Patrick has a slight looseness to him that says "Coast Guard, pulling over would-be pirates with a jaunty grin" as opposed to "Army, rousting actual terrorists while eyeing the ground for IEDs." Patrick has NOT, I suspect, faced the worst life has to show us - but if he WAS confronted with it, he'd be by far the best choice to deal with it.) I emailed Patrick and then drove along wondering if I had a case to be annoyed with darling Patrick. After all, I pay him and his team of agile tree-climbers and nutrient-sprayers a fair chunk of change to keep my trees in "not going to fall over" shape - and here was one that had fallen over. Was I annoyed? By the time I got to the restaurant to pick up my take-out, Patrick had already replied to my email; he'd be by the house in half an hour to check things out. HALF AN HOUR?? How can I be annoyed at a guy who is that prompt and respectful and DARLING?? Patrick arrived, and I was SO glad I'd had the "fussy" drained from my spirit. "That's not a downed tree," he said to me kindly. "That's the TOP of THAT tree." Oh. I peered over the fence. He was right; that huge 25-foot "tree" was one massive limb. We both looked up into the donor's leafy branches. "Yep," he said. "Sure is good we put that cable up last year, huh? Otherwise, that split would have taken out the whole tree and it would have landed on your garage. I'll get my guys to take care of this tomorrow." Oh. Oops. I, of course, had forgotten entirely about the cable, which Patrick had advised me to have installed. Suddenly the money I've paid in the past feels like it was a REALLY good investment! THANKS, BARTLETT TREE EXPERTS!!
